We do not store full card numbers. Stripe/PayPal process card details directly.
C) Information collected automatically (online identifiers and usage data)
We may automatically collect:
- IP address, device/browser details, and approximate location (from IP),
- pages viewed, clicks, time spent, and interactions,
- conversion and ad-attribution events.
Tools you told us you use include:
- Google Analytics (analytics)
- Microsoft Clarity (session replay/heatmaps)
- Meta Pixel (advertising)
- TikTok Pixel (advertising)
- LinkedIn Insight Tag (advertising)
D) Security and anti-bot data (Google reCAPTCHA)
We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect the Site (for example, login) from spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA may collect information such as IP address, device and browser information, mouse movements, and time spent on pages to determine whether traffic is automated. This data is processed by Google under its own privacy terms.
3) Legal bases (important for GDPR/UK GDPR)
If you are located in the EU/EEA/UK (or we later market there), we process personal information under these legal bases:
- Contract (to provide the Services): account creation, course access, progress tracking, certificates, and support.
- Legitimate interests: keeping the Site secure, preventing fraud, improving our Services, and measuring performance (where permitted and balanced against your rights).
- Consent: for certain cookies/technologies such as marketing/advertising cookies and, in many cases, analytics and session replay (depending on local law). You can withdraw consent at any time (see Cookies section).
- Legal obligation: compliance with applicable laws (for example, financial recordkeeping).
4) How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide the Services (accounts, course access, downloads, progress tracking, certificates).
- Process payments and prevent fraud.
- Communicate with you (transactional messages, course updates, support).
- Send marketing messages (newsletters/promotions) where allowed; you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Analyze and improve the Site and marketing performance.
- Maintain security and integrity (including reCAPTCHA and abuse prevention).
- Comply with law and enforce our terms.
5) Cookies, analytics, session replay, and advertising pixels
A) What we use
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential functions: login/session cookies, security cookies, and preferences.
- Analytics: Google Analytics.
- Session replay/heatmaps: Microsoft Clarity (may capture interactions like scrolling, clicks, and navigation; it is intended to help us improve usability).
- Advertising & conversion measurement: Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn tools.
B) YouTube embeds
We may embed videos using the YouTube player. YouTube/Google may set cookies or collect device and usage data when you view embedded videos, depending on your settings and how the embed is configured.
C) Managing cookies
You can manage cookies via browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect Site functionality (especially login and course access).
Important note: You told us you currently do not use a cookie banner. If you start targeting or receiving users in the EU/UK, you will generally need a cookie consent tool that blocks non-essential cookies (marketing, analytics, and session replay) until the user opts in.
6) How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to operate the Services:
A) Service providers (processors)
- Hosting/infrastructure: SuperHosting.bg
- Course platform: Tutor LMS (runs within your WordPress environment)
- Payments: Stripe and PayPal
- Analytics/advertising/session replay: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn
- Google services for security/login: Google reCAPTCHA, Google Sign-In
Service providers may process information under their own terms and (where required) under data processing agreements.
B) Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security, including investigating fraud or abuse.
C) Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
7) International data transfers
We are based in the United States and may use service providers that process data in other countries (including the United States). If you access the Site from outside the US, your information may be transferred internationally.
For EU/EEA/UK users (if applicable), international transfers are typically safeguarded using mechanisms such as:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), and/or
- other legally recognized transfer tools, depending on the provider and jurisdiction.
8) US targeted advertising and opt-out
We use advertising partners (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn) that may involve sharing identifiers (like cookie IDs) to measure and optimize ads. Depending on your US state, this may be considered “targeted advertising” or “sharing/sale” under certain privacy laws.
Opt-out request: Email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Opt-Out Request.”
9) Data retention
You told us you aim to retain personal data for about 6 months, but some information must be retained longer for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons. In general:
- Account and course data: while your account is active, then up to 6 months after deletion/inactivity unless longer retention is needed for security or disputes.
- Certificates/completion records: may be retained longer to verify completion, unless you request deletion and we are not required to keep it.
- Transaction records: retained as required for accounting, tax, chargebacks, and fraud prevention.
- Analytics/advertising data: retained according to tool settings and our configuration.
When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize information.
10) Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. You told us you use 2FA and backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data from unauthorized access or misuse.
11) Your rights and choices
A) Access, correction, deletion
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
B) Marketing communications
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those emails.
C) Cookies
You can control cookies via your browser settings and (if implemented) a cookie preference tool.
D) EU/UK rights (if applicable)
If GDPR/UK GDPR applies to you, you may also have the right to object to certain processing, restrict processing, and request data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
12) Children’s privacy
Our Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
13) Third-party links and embedded content
The Site may include third-party content (for example, embedded videos or social media features). Those third parties may collect information about you and set cookies according to their own policies. We do not control their practices.
14) Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may also notify you by email or through the Site.
